I am not sure whether it is my lack of good sleep on night shift last night, jet lag, or just the general intense heat we have been experiencing here in Davao, but I know for sure one thing... I've been SUPER sleepy the past few days... and especially this day that is now coming to a close... at least for me! Life is getting back to the Philippine groove for me... as tomorrow will present the "I've been back for one week" accomplishment. Where do the days go...
I got to catch a beautiful little girl at 5:23 this morning... as she gracefully made her way into the seen world. She happens to be #9 in her family... the oldest of which is only two years younger than me~wOw! It really made me smile watching her beautiful young mother, and proud father watch her perfect little form for the first time.
All night long her dad had been quiet and reserved.... but as soon as that babe pooped out he became a whole new man. People really can change people. I love these powerful little lives! In other update news... one of my directors daughters was in a live performance of High School Musical this week, and well... it was pretty much amazing. Attending the performance was pretty much the highlight of my week... choreographed dance mania!! On the way home Jessica (a 5 year old fireball who was a ballerina in the show) piped up in the front seat of the car saying that her favorite part of the show is when the girl gets sad. This seemed to me an odd statement at first... then we realized that she was talking about the part of the show she's in. Oh man. I do love kids. They never cease to make me smile.
Well... to head to bed I must do now.
Thanks for stopping by! (here are a few pics from the show and this last week)
