Qualified.

On Friday some us went to immigration to finish off our missionary visa applications. Apart from the fact that we couldn't complete the application at that time due to a minor set back I found the little visit quite interesting.
At one point when we were talking to the immigration officer he asked us, "Do you think that you are qualified to be missionaries here in Davao?"
Our immediate response, of course, was a bit of a defensive and overwhelming "yeh". I got thinking about that though. What does make us "qualified" to claim Christ, and live and serve as we do?
I was lead to Colossians 1:9-12 that evening. What an encouraging reminder! We can walk in a manner of God's calling because HE has qualified us to, and strengthens us today to do just that.
I pray we all learn more of Him today, and serve Him in thankfulness, for His gifts are too numerous to count.
