"How sweet to hold a newborn baby,
And feel the pride and joy he gives.
But greater still the calm assurance,
This child can face uncertain days because He lives."Meet Moses. He is beautiful. He is a gift.
About 40 hours ago now this little life came into the world, loved by God, loved by man, but not able to go home and be loved by his natural family for the rest of his life.
A sad situation made his mom decide to leave him at Mercy, and give him up for adoption. In the mean time we get to keep him and love on him till we can't love anymore. The orphanage will take him when we can't anymore. He is technically in their custody now, but we were given the option to love on him for awhile... and so that is what we are doing. It is the best. He is just so beautiful.
Some of the girls in our house named him. Moses. Because he has been entrusted to others to love and nurture, and I believe that God has great plans for him. Andrew. His father's last name was Andrews... and before we even knew that, it had been decided that it just fit. I think it's a good name, and I think he's a really great little guy (even though he looks a little man in this pic... i think it is the camera...)!
"Because He lives, I can face tomorrow.
Because He lives, All fear is gone.
Because I know He holds the future,
And life is worth the living just because He lives."

Oh Lois, it is so good to see a picture of Moses and you holding him. Thanks for sharing about him with me early this morning on skype. I know I can bring Gramma down to this computer in the morning and show her your whole blog. I told Grampa I would check it out and then bring him down here too. He wondered just where and I said just down to the room where he gets his haircuts. Can't wait to show them stuff from you. Mom
Lois. Seems God blesses in so many infathomable ways. I am so glad Moses has the company of you girls and be nurtured and loved by in his first days to this world that is so fallen and dying...and yet authentic Hope seeping through every crack and pore. -christina
