I remember bugging my sister Sarah about being SO white when she would come home from India to visit. It is only 2 weeks and 4 days now until I go home for her wedding, and I am afraid that I have nothing to show for the sunshine here! I mean I am not "winter white" and hopefully don't look like the jar of mayonnaise I have been accused of in the past... but I gotta say... it is hot here, and I am not about to FRY! Enough is enough!SPF 45 and covering up baby all the way! (at least for part of the day!)
I got to go to the beach and on a boat trip with Starla, Jonna, and Starla's parents yesterday... and it was an amazing get away! If you wanna know more and see pics you can read Jonna's blog on my sidebar... But I will just say that it was super great!
Oh ya, and I will take this moment to say that yesterday, after being here for 7 month and squinting EVERY time I go outside, I finally put out the $2 and got myself a pair of sweet "raybans". It revolutionized my day:)... just think of all the headaches I could have saved...
Ok, back to homework now.
This study break was brought to you by the Beatty's. Not only are they Starla's parents... but they are pretty great people to chill with too!

...its great how we can always tell when we're in the midst of an assignment, as blog updates occur almost once a day.

My name is Jes...I'm headed to join you all in September...can hardly wait!!
I enjoyed reading your blogs and getting a bit more of an idea of life as a baby catcher in Davao!
Where are you from originally? How much longer will you be in the Philippines?
Looking forward to meeting you!
shalom, Jes
No risk of being called "Mayo" when you go home, don't worry. ;-) But, lest you attempt to become darker than let's say, french bread, beware, you may end up looking like pepperoni instead. ;-D
