There are approx. one hundred and six reasons why I haven't blogged in a while... but none of them are really all that great. So I will just write... and fill you all in on a few happenings about town.
Hummm... as soon as I write my semester final (which I think is on for tomorrow...) then I'll be home free as far as formal school work goes for the month of September. I am looking forward to this... but also see myself wasting a lot of time and energy doing nothing. Gonna try really hard not to do that though! I think it is just about list time for Lois... on her her very favorite things to do in life!
Any idea's about good ways to spend free time in a foreign country? I'd love your idea's into the master list!
Well these last few weeks have been full of outings with 11 year olds... bowling with Bethany and the "girls"... welcoming back Jenna and Tiff (and hopefully eventually Laura as well... but only the Lord knows where SHE is right now...) saying so long for the month to Chair and Jenny, chatting with Gregs on the phone (apparently you gotta learn lots of stuff in school when you are becoming a doc, oh my!), delivering a continuities baby (a bit of a crazy birth for sure), and putting 106 tiny weeny braid in Chairty's butt-length hair (luckily I had a partner in crime, and I would say that Jenny and I considered it to be a good time!), and just the rest of the normal life of a midwifery student (aka hw and assignment parties).
Tis the season for change... and "change Lois" has been showing her not so pretty head from time to time... but all is good, and when I look to the TRUTH of this whole place... The PROVIDER of each breath, and the LOVER which binds all together each aspect of the great change is not only more bearable, but also more enjoyable.
I took some time yesterday, and again today... to just chill and reflect on all that the Lord has given... and it really is amazing... I really do feel so blessed. As of now... I have the pleasure of sitting in a house (that is not even the one in which I live!) and the only other one here is but two years old... and asleep at that! Now, if nothing else, this is a rarity indeed!
It is just a week now until the house is all filled up with new students... and I am looking forward to meeting each of these.
So this is the life these days. These are the people... this is what I am finding my hands to do...
