This pretty much means "Davao Day" for all I can make of it...
The whole city in celebrating... there is a parade today... crazy child-beauty contest in the mall yesterday (I have never seen a mall so packed in my life... not even at Chinook during the Christmas season!)... a funny little carnival in the parking lot next to the mall (Laura and Jenny went on a ride... I was just generally a little freaked out...) and a FUN RUN at SM this morning!
A BUNCH of "Mercy People" went to the "Run"... and most ended up walking. It was fun... and we all got these great "Araw ng Dabaw" t-shirts... and the chance to sweat along side many-a-filipino.
The run started at 6am... and the sky was beautiful... the mountains in the distance really clear... and well... I think that was my favorite part. 
I'm sitting beside a wonderful pool near to our house that is the "new fad" amongst the girls of the OC. There is a pic of it on Jenna's blog. It is pretty great... and I am pretty great at procrastinating.
Well. Off to the races. I really should get to work here!

although i'm in and among all these activities, I enjOy how you sum it up and spit it all out.
and, those pics are aMAZING! (ie. the army guy glancing back as you snap a quick pic!)
