It's been SO beautiful here in Tabuk... a nice break from the heat of Davao. The RAIN the last two afternoons has just POURED down, and I went out and showered in it the other day. SO refreshing... and well... pretty wonderful!
The back of the clinic's property is up against rice fields, so the lawn is usually a little on the damp side due to the irrigation, but it was SERIOUSLY flooded after the rain! So beautiful...The other factoid of being so close to the rice fields is these little tiny- just larger than aphid- green bugs that bite, and well... are EVERYWHERE at night time seeking out suicidal attempts with light bulbs. Jenny caught a beautiful baby boy last night (the first born since we have been here)... and these bugs were EVERYWHERE in the middle of the night! Needless to say I was MORE than happy to crawl back under my mosquito net at 2 somethin' AM!
It was a great birth though, and I am sure she'll blog about it later, so I won't steal her thunder, instead I will introduce you to the pups of the place. These two are Barker and Hairy... and they think they own the place! They get yelled at to go outside literally hundreds of times a day. Yesterday I was trying to get Barker (the black dog) to go outside while we had some prenatal's at the clinic, and he just wanted a belly rub. I ended up shoving him like 12 feet across the floor, and then eventually out the door, the whole while he's on his back, legs splayed. They are seriously nuts.
Anyways... we are heading to another village this afternoon so will have more to write on later :). Toodles.

The green all around looks so lush and gorgeous. I am sure the cooler weather is enjoyable too, and wonder if you have warm enough stuff along! Bugs, well, you have reason to use mosquito nets for sure. Hope you get to catch a baby or two while you are there. Loves, Mom
hahaha, i TOTally knew which dog was Barker and which was Hairy when you first mentioned it! FAIRly original names..
