So... yesterday morning I woke up to discover that I had left my wallet the night before in a taxi. So, I spent the morning saying byebye credit card (my main access to cash here), byebye drivers license, byebye all the cash I have save for about 50 cents, byebye bank cards, byebye scuba diving license, byebye mabuhay miles, byebye cell phone minutes card, byebye little tattered aisan wallet from beck via china town NYC (ok so that part wasn't SO bad as it was totally falling apart...), and just a lot of bye bye bye's in general.
God is faithful still... and I had my passport or SI card, or a backup credit card at home, and so I THINK I still might have access to a little money... but I guess we'll see if I remember that cards PIN later today:). All is ok though... and I am fully aware that these are mere things... convenient things no doubt... but things none the less.
The day seems to progress from challenging to slightly overwhelming with other things that were tossed my way, but by the time evening came, and I'd have time to talk to God about it all, and go for a little run, things were looking very up (let's just say I was SUPER reminded of my dependency on the Lord for ALL things...) and I was greatly anticipating the coming night shift!I realized about 15 min before I left for shift that I would be working with some girls I NEVER get the chance to work with (Jes, Jordan, and LAURA... my class mate who I have worked with less than a handful of times in the past 14 months)...
and work we did!
It was a super full shift, with one baby born 8 min before shift change... and then 5 more during the night! It was heaps of fun working with these three girls and our amazing supervisor Ate Esteph. JES caught her FIRST BABY EVER, JORDAN assisted 3 births, LAURA caught one baby in the back of an SUV (a very nice SUV at that!!) and then another baby later in the AM (and by late I mean closer to 4am...) and somewhere in there I caught my 49th and 50th babies! They were both boys, both over 7 lbs... and both well endowed! I can't believe I hit the 50 mark... and I can't believe how good it feels to fall into bed after being up all night catching babies... although I can for sure tell you that the getting up the next morning with a mountain of homework in front of you does not feel so good!
So that is life today... these are pictures from our little evening adventure at MMC... and ya. That's about it... to HW I go... giggity gig! ENJOY!

bub - i am so sorry about your wallet. what a bummer! Let me know if I can do anything. Like send you a new wallet! haha. my chinatown one that I got the same day is still hanging on and i thought it was going to break the day i got it.
Congrats on the milestones!! bummer bout the wallet, for sure! :b HOpe you remembered the pin number.
